    Cookie Policy

    Last updated: July 2026

    1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use the term “cookies” to also cover similar technologies such as localStorage. Some are necessary for the site to work; others are optional and only run with your consent.

    2. Your Consent

The first time you visit Wantap, a banner lets you accept or reject optional analytics and marketing cookies. We do not set any of them before you accept. You can change your choice at any time — it is stored on your device and re-requested if the cookies we use change.

    3. Cookies We Use

The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies used on wantap.co:

    4. Categories

    • Essential cookies are required for the site to function (keeping you signed in, remembering your language and your cookie choice, processing payments securely). They are set on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in operating the service and cannot be switched off.
    • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. They are set only with your consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting your use of the site.
    • Marketing cookies (the Meta Pixel, set by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) let us measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform. They are set only with your consent and only on our marketing, signup and checkout pages — never on the loyalty join or card pages your customers use — and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting your use of the site. For signed-in account holders they also send a hashed (SHA-256) copy of your email address and account id, which Meta uses to match your visit to an ad it showed you. Hashing protects the values in transit, but they remain personal data and are therefore only ever sent with your consent.

    5. Global Privacy Control & Do Not Track

Because analytics and marketing cookies are off until you opt in, browsers sending a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal are never tracked unless you explicitly accept. We also treat GPC signals as a valid opt-out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under U.S. state privacy laws.

    6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site, such as staying signed in. Deleting cookies also deletes your consent choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.

    7. More Information

For details on how we process personal data, including your privacy rights and how to exercise them, see our Privacy Policy.
