Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use the term “cookies” to also cover similar technologies such as localStorage. Some are necessary for the site to work; others are optional and only run with your consent.
The first time you visit Wantap, a banner lets you accept or reject optional analytics and marketing cookies. We do not set any of them before you accept. You can change your choice at any time — it is stored on your device and re-requested if the cookies we use change.
The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies used on wantap.co:
| Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| wantap_cookie_consent | Wantap | Essential | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies | Persistent (localStorage) |
| wantap_language | Wantap | Essential | Remembers your language preference | Persistent (localStorage) |
| sb-*-auth-token | Supabase | Essential | Keeps business users signed in to their account | Session, renewed while active |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Analytics (consent) | Distinguishes visitors and measures how the site is used | Up to 2 years |
| ph_*_posthog | PostHog (EU servers) | Analytics (consent) | Product analytics: pages visited and features used | Up to 12 months |
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta Platforms | Marketing (consent) | Meta Pixel: measures how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform. Loads on our marketing, signup and checkout pages, never on loyalty join or card pages. If you are signed in, it also sends a hashed copy of your email address and account id so Meta can match the visit to an ad | Up to 3 months |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe | Essential (fraud prevention) | Secure payment processing and fraud prevention during checkout | 1 year / 30 minutes |
Because analytics and marketing cookies are off until you opt in, browsers sending a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal are never tracked unless you explicitly accept. We also treat GPC signals as a valid opt-out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under U.S. state privacy laws.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site, such as staying signed in. Deleting cookies also deletes your consent choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.
For details on how we process personal data, including your privacy rights and how to exercise them, see our Privacy Policy.
